bell hooks' essay 'Choosing the Margin as a Space of Radical Openness' has been translated into French for the first time. The translation by Matthieu Abonnenc was published in PETUNIA#3 in the special issue devoted to SPACE.
The Contemporary Food Lab on Bergstraße was the perfect venue for our discussion dinners. They offered us the space to host our L'Espace Féminin kick-off event, with its experimental format. Guests were invited to dine with us, with the proviso that they respond to questions printed on their placemats. The discussions that ensued over our delectable meals were both pertinent and engaging. CFL enabled us to realise this concept and for that we are very grateful.
To kick off L'Espace Féminin, we hosted a dinner at the Contemporary Food Lab in Berlin-Mitte. To this dinner we invited spatial practitioners - the majority of whom being women - whose work was particularly interesting for us. In order to stimulate conversation towards issues of gender, stereotypes, women's representation and space, we gave each attendee a placemat on which four questions were printed.
